Dr. Thomas, After injuring my back during relief efforts following the devestating tsunami in Indonesia, I returned home in search of relief. I asked for the best neurosurgeon in Louisiana and was referred to Dr. N. Thomas at Ochsner's Clinic in New Orleans. I had been living with debilitating pain for 6 months, barely able to do my work in Africa, suffering each day with simple activities such as wlaking, sitting, and walking up stairs. I was beginning to feel that I would never be pain free. I was wrong. After having back surgery at Ochsner in August, I can finally say, that I am pain free. I am returning to work for the United Nations in east Africa tomorrow, 10 weeks after having surgery at Ochsners by Dr Thomas. Dr Thomas and his professional staff as well as the highest levels of quality care provided by the entire Ochsner team, have given me back mobility and more importantly, my independence.
